Matthias Komm (* 1966 in Bielefeld ) is a German actor , director and author .

Life

Education and theater

Out of love for music, Komm actually wanted to become a conductor . From 1985 to 1988 he completed an acting training at the drama school "Der Keller" in Cologne . He began his theater career with piece contracts at the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf (1988), at the stages of the city of Bonn (1988) and at the Essen Theater (1988). Then he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Städtische Bühnen Bielefeld for four years . This was followed by engagements at the Freiburg Theater and the Karlsruhe State Theater . In the 2009/2010 season he appeared at the Berliner Volksbühne in the theater production Seestücke based on fragments by Friedrich Schiller .

As a theater director, Komm u. a. at the Theater Zittau (1993), at the Theater Dortmund (2000/2001; Peer Gynt ), at the Musical Theater Bremen (2007), at the Theater Die Etage in Berlin (2006 Danton's death , Leonce and Lena ; 2008 Nora or a doll's house ) and several times at the Friedrichstadtpalast Berlin (2003 and 2005; favorite color: colorful ). Komm's television career began in 1997 with a recurring supporting role in the ZDF series Frauenarzt Dr. Markus Merthin . He played Eicke, the professionally unsuccessful brother of the series character Lena ( Maren Schumacher ), the friend of Dr. Markus Merthin.

Komm has lived in Berlin since 1997 . He has been in a relationship with actress Tessa Mittelstaedt since 2010 .
