Therese Hämer (born February 6, 1962 in Kassel ) is a German actress .

Life

The daughter of actress Elisabeth Schwarz spent her childhood and youth in Stuttgart and Frankfurt am Main , where she graduated from high school in 1981. After spending a year and a half in Italy, she studied philosophy , German and Romance languages at the Free University of Berlin .

She got her first film role in Ulla Stöckl's The Sleep of Reason . After assistant director and student contract at the Freie Volksbühne Berlin with Hans Neuenfels , she completed her acting training at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich from 1987 to 1989 . In 1989 she made her debut at the Münchner Kammerspiele in Henrik Ibsen's Die Frau vom Meer in the role of Bolette. For this she was named best young actress in 1990 by theater heute .

This was followed by engagements at the Schillertheater Berlin and Schauspiel Bonn as well as guest roles at the Residenztheater Munich , the National Theater Weimar and most recently at the Schauspielhaus Bochum .

Since 2002 she has been working as a freelancer mainly in TV productions. She has appeared in television films such as B. Anniversaries and A Schnitzel for Three . The television series in which she appeared include Der Staatsanwalt , SOKO Leipzig , Post Mortem - Evidence Are Immortal and Stromberg . She took on cinema roles a. a. in return and in truth or dare .

Therese Hämer is a member of the German Film Academy and lives in Cologne .
