Dr. Maximilian Bloch's ex-wife Hanna contacts their daughter Leonie years after their separation. Hanna has never really coped with the separation with Bloch and daughter Leonie, she has even attempted suicide. She also suffers from a delusion in which she now believes she is still with Bloch. To help his former love, he has to come to terms with his own past.
