Maren Schumacher
Maren Schumacher (born October 28, 1966 in East Berlin ) is a German actress .
Life
Maren Schumacher is the older of two children, her mother was a dramaturge at the Berliner Ensemble , her father a physicist at the Academy of Sciences in Berlin . As a child she was encouraged by her mother and at the age of four was active in a children's ballet (including in the Friedrichstadtpalast ), in the 'Otto Nagel painters' circle and in a ceramic circle. At the age of 14 she was discovered by Michael Weidt as a model for fashion photos. Cover photos and photo series in the magazines Sibylle , Magazin and Pramo from Verlag für die Frau followed . At the age of 17, she was the youngest model on the catwalk at the Leipziger Messe and became a top model in the GDR .
Before studying acting, she played the leading role in the film Signs of Life . From 1984 to 1988 she studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin with a diploma. This was followed by the lead role in the historical film Immensee . She played theater a. a. at the Berliner Ensemble, Maxim-Gorki-Theater and Friedrichstadtpalast stage egg . After the birth of her son, she studied psychology and worked at the Griesinger hospital ( Vivantes Hellersdorf ). She completed training in therapy and coaching , such as couple and family counseling, hypnotherapy , PMR and business coaching . Maren Schumacher now works for film and television, has a coaching practice and moderates.
Maren Schumacher was married to the German actor Sven Martinek .
