The aspiring singer Pauline cannot decide between her two married lovers, the concert critic Georg Lalinde and the respected doctor Klaus Klett when it comes to love affairs. After she becomes pregnant to make matters worse, she at least knows that she is giving up the planned career overseas in favor of the offspring - as it turns out, in a double pack.
