The Arndt-Verlag (own spelling: ARNDT-Verlag) belongs to the group of the right-wing extremist publisher Dietmar Munier . A focus of the publishing program is on historical revisionism .

Publishing history

The Arndt-Verlag was originally founded in 1963 by the namesake Heinz von Arndt , who initially belonged to the German Reich Party and later to the NPD . In 1983, the publisher Dietmar Munier took over the Arndt publishing house and incorporated it into his Reading & Gifting publishing house and shipping company , based in Martensrade . Munier built Arndt into one of the largest and most important right-wing extremist publishers in Germany.

Publishing program

The program encompasses the entire spectrum of historical revisionist literature as well as reports from experiences and contemporary witnesses . Some modern writings, such as the brochure Ausländer Stopp - Handbuch gegen Ausländerung by former NPD chairman Günter Deckert , were also published by Arndt-Verlag. The majority of the authors come from the right-wing extremist camp. Among others, Franz W. Seidler , Gustav Sichelschmidt , Wilfred von Oven and Günter Zehm published about Arndt. The most famous author is the influential Holocaust denier David Irving , who published his controversial biographies on Joseph Goebbels and Hermann Göring as well as his work The Secret Weapons of the Third Reich . Videos with lectures by well-known right-wing extremists are also included in the publisher's program. Successful titles included the book Conversations about Germany by Honecker's confidante Hermann von Berg . The historical revisionist book A World War is programmed by Dirk Kunert was published as a licensed edition by Ullstein Verlag .

For several years now, the publisher has been trying to gain a foothold in the right-wing music market. Above all, ballad compilations are offered, such as the compilation series Ballads of the National Resistance and Our Struggle , which includes music by Frank Rennicke , Annett , Sturmwehr and Rheinwacht, among others .

In addition to the Arndt publishing house, the Pour le Mérite publishing house is affiliated with the Reading & Schenken publishing house delivery and shipping company .

Observation by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution

In view of its program, the Arndt-Verlag is observed by the Office for the Protection of the Constitution and mentioned in various reports on the protection of the Constitution by the state authorities of Saxony (2001) and Schleswig-Holstein (2007, 2009, 2010). According to the Schleswig-Holstein Constitutional Protection Agency, he is trying “to give readers a positive image of the Nazi terror”. The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution mentions the Arndt-Verlag in its reports on 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Illustrated books would “gloss over the Nazi era” and glorify the military technology of the “Third Reich”, texts still in 2011 formulated Germany's claim to the Sudetenland .

distribution

The majority of the publishing program is not offered in bookstores, but is sold through mail order catalogs. In the prefaces of the catalogs Munier repeatedly propagates his own right-wing views and attacks members of the respective federal government sharply.

Identical names

This publisher is not to be confused with the Arndt-Verlag in Bretten, whose range, as a specialist publisher, focuses on the subject of "birds".
