Arnold Jeannesson (born January 15, 1986 in Paris ) is a former French cyclist .

Career

Arnold Jeannesson was third in the national U23 mountain bike championship in 2006 in the cross country mountain bike discipline . In 2007 he was third in the national U23 championship in cyclocross .

After Jeannesson on the road in 2006 and 2007 for the French Continental Team Auber 93 as a stagiaire , he received a regular contract there from the 2008 season. At the same time, he competed with the national team in the UCI Nations' Cup U23 race Tour de l'Avenir in 2008 , where he won the mountain finish in Guzut Neige and was third overall.

In 2009 and 2010 Jeannesson drove with the UCI ProTeam Caisse d'Epargne , for which he finished his first Grand Tour in the Giro d'Italia 2009 as 57th. In 2011 he switched to the French cycling team FDJ.fr and took 14th place overall at the 2011 Tour de France , which was also his best career position on a Grand Tour . At the 2012 UCI World Tour Paris-Nice race , he was sixth overall.

At the end of the 2017 season, Jeannesson ended his international road career after having worked for Cofidis, Solutions Crédits and Fortuneo-Vital Concept for the past two years . At the subsequent French cyclocross championship in 2018, he won the bronze medal.
