Arnold Ott
Arnold Ott (born December 5 or 6, 1840 in Vevey ; † September 30, 1910 in Lucerne ) was a Swiss doctor and poet.
Life
Ott worked as an ophthalmologist in Neuhausen am Rheinfall , and from 1876 in Lucerne . He was also active as a poet and playwright .
In 1889 his folk play Agnes Bernauer found a "brilliant reception" at the ducal court theater in Meiningen . Between 1895 and 1904 there were festival performances in Altdorf, Diessenhofen and Wiedikon, the pieces of which were written by Arnold Ott. One of his better-known pieces was called Charles the Bold and the Confederates . He found his final resting place in the Friedental cemetery .
