Arnold Fabian Peralta Sosa (born March 29, 1989 in La Ceiba ; † December 10, 2015 there ) was a Honduran football player . He was most recently under contract with CD Olimpia . He played with the Honduran national team at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London .
Career
society
Arnold Peralta played from 2008 to 2013 in the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de Honduras for the CD Vida . For the club from his hometown of La Ceiba, which is located on the north coast of Honduras, he was regularly used in midfield. After the contract was not renewed after a total of four seasons, he moved to Scotland in June 2013 . He signed a four-year deal with Glasgow Rangers from League One . However, the contract only became effective when the rangers' insolvency-related transfer ban expired . In January 2015, Peralta's contract with the Rangers was prematurely terminated; he moved back to Honduras to the CD Olimpia .
National team
Peralta first played for Honduras in 2009 at a major tournament. With the U-20 he took part in the World Cup for this age group in Egypt. With the Honduran Olympic selection, he took part three years later in the soccer tournament of the 2012 Summer Olympics, where he was used twice in the preliminary round and in the 3-2 defeat against Brazil in the quarter-finals.
He made his debut for the Honduran national team in September 2011 against Paraguay . With the team Peralta reached the final of the Central American Cup in 2013 , in which Honduras lost 1-0 to Costa Rica . He was replaced in the final after 72 minutes of play by national coach Luis Fernando Suárez for Georgie Welcome .
death
On December 10, 2015, Peralta was shot dead in the parking lot of a supermarket in La Ceiba. Two days after his death, he was remembered with a minute's silence during the league game of his former Scottish club.
