criticism

The General Secretary of the Central Council of Jews Stephan Kramer informed State Minister of Culture Bernd Neumann in a letter in September 2010 that membership in the Foundation Flight, Expulsion, Reconciliation in protest against the “revanchist positions” of Tölg and Hartmut Saenger, who had been appointed as deputy members, was until further notice to let rest and reserve an exit. Arnold Tölg is under criticism for his remarks on the reparations made by former Nazi forced laborers. In the Junge Freiheit (quoted in the FR of July 22, 2010, p. 5) he announced that "[g] erade the countries that direct the most massive demands against us" have "enough mess on the stick" even when it comes to forced labor what was criticized as relativizing Nazi crimes. Most recently, Tölg claimed that Poland had mobilized as early as March 1939 , which is why the German attack on the neighboring country was only the "second step". This factually correct statement brings Tölg close to theories which, contrary to the state of historical research, relativize the war guilt of Nazi Germany.
