Arnold Verstraelen
Arnold Verstraelen SVD (born July 19, 1882 in Sevenum , † March 15, 1932 in Nusa Tenggara Timur ) was Apostolic Vicar of the Lesser Sunda Islands .
Life
Arnold Verstraelen joined the religious order of the Steyler Missionaries and was ordained a priest on February 24, 1907 . Pius XI. appointed him on March 13, 1922 Vicar Apostolic of the Lesser Sunda Islands and Titular Bishop of Myriophytos .
The bishop of Roermond , Laurentius Josephus Antonius Hubertus Schrijnen , donated him episcopal ordination on October 1st of the same year; Co- consecrators were Pieter Adriaan Willem Hopmans , Bishop of Breda , and Arnold Frans Diepen , Bishop of 's-Hertogenbosch .
