The Arroyo de los Caraguatás is a river in northern Uruguay . It forms part of the western border of the Rincón de Artigas area claimed by Uruguay and Brazil .
The river, which rises in the Cuchilla Negra in the border area of the Uruguayan departments Artigas , Salto and Rivera near Masoller, flows north from there. It then forms the Arroyo Maneco together with the Arroyo de la Línea from the merging of the two rivers .
