The Arroyo Carpinchurí , also Arroyo Carpinchury , is a river located in western Uruguay .
The river, which belongs to the catchment area of the Río Uruguay, rises northeast of the Cerro Santa Blanca or southeast of the Cerro del Escondite in the area of the Department Paysandú . From there it runs westwards to its confluence with the Arroyo Chapicuy Grande southwest of Chapicuy . The name Carpinchury has its origin in the language of the Guaraní , whereby it represents a combination of Castilian and the Guaraní language.
