The Arroyo Catalán Chico is a river in northern Uruguay .

It rises in the area of ​​the Departamento Artigas in the Cuchilla de Belén west of the Cerro Vichaderos . From there it flows first in a north-westerly direction , then for the most part almost parallel to the Arroyo del Medio in a northerly direction. It finally crosses under the Ruta 30 a little more than a kilometer before it flows as a left-hand tributary into the Arroyo Catalán Grande upstream from the mouth of the Arroyo Juan Fernández .

Agate and amethyst deposits can be found at Arroyo Catalán Chico .
