The Arroyo Catalán Grande is a river in northern Uruguay .

It rises in the area of ​​the Department of Artigas in the Cuchilla de Belén , near the sources of the Arroyo Sepulturas and the Arroyo Catalán Seco east of the Cerro Vichaderos . From there it flows in a northerly direction, where the right-hand tributary Arroyo Catalán Seco and the left-hand tributaries Arroyo Catalán Chico , Arroyo Juan Fernández and Arroyo Sauce de Macedo join on its way. Shortly before it flows into the Río Cuareim as a tributary on the left, the Arroyo del Catalancito meets the Arroyo Catalán Grande on the left .

Agate and amethyst deposits can be found on Arroyo Catalán Grande .
