Arsen Harutjunjan ( Armenian Արսեն Կարենի Հարությունյան ; born November 22, 1999 in Masis ) is an Armenian wrestler .

Career

Harutjunjan, who wrestles in free style for KSV Ispringen in the German Wrestling League, was European champion in the age group up to 18 years (cadet) at the Junior European Championship in Subotica in 2015 . At the Junior World Championship in the same year he was seventh. A year later he succeeded in winning the silver medal with the Cadets at the Junior European Championships in Stockholm in the weight class up to 54 kg. At the Junior World Championships in Tbilisi , he was able to reach fifth place in the same age group. Harutjunjan started in the junior class for the first time at the 2017 European Junior Championships in Dortmund . In the end he won the bronze medal, which he was able to win a little later at the Junior World Championships in Tampere . In 2018 he became Junior European Champion in the weight class up to 57 kg. At the Junior World Championships he won bronze again.

In December 2018, he secured his first national championship title in the weight class up to 61 kg. In his first major international senior competitions, the European Wrestling Championships 2019 in Bucharest , he won the title after winning the final in the weight category up to 61 kg against the Georgian Beka Lomtadze , who competes in the German wrestling league for Wacker Burghausen .
