The Gmina Stąporków is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Konecki of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name with about 5800 inhabitants.

The community is located in the northwest of the Heiligkreuzgebirge . The Czarna Konecka , a tributary of the Pilica , is one of the waters .
The state road DK42 runs through the municipality and its main town . The single-track and electrified railway line Łódź – Dębica (route number 25) in this section is no longer used for passenger transport.
history
From 1975 to 1998 the municipality was part of the Kielce Voivodeship .
