Arthur (proper spelling ARTHUR ) in Europa Park in Baden-Wuerttemberg Rust is a steel roller coaster - dark ride hybrid model from Inverted Powered Coaster from manufacturer Mack Rides , which was officially opened on September 18, 2014.
The theme of the roller coaster is based on the three feature films Arthur and the Minimoys .
Most of the route runs through the newly built "Arthur Hall". The trains leave the hall twice and travel at higher speeds outside. The gondolas hanging under the carriages of the trains are rotated into certain positions by electric motors.
The ride system of the attraction was nominated by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) as the world's most innovative ride system with the Thea Award. This award took place on April 23, 2017 in Anaheim. According to TEA, the combination of the Inverted Power Coaster, combined with a dark ride, 360-degree rotations, variable speed and on-board sound was convincing.
Trains
The eight trains of the roller coaster each have three gondolas with four seats each. The trains hang under the rail and the gondolas can rotate 360 degrees.
