Artjom Kostyrev ( Russian Артём Костырев , transcribed Artjom Kostyrew ; born May 13, 1982 in Novosibirsk , Russian SFSR ) is a German ice hockey player who will play for the Harzer Falken in the Oberliga Nord from the 2016/17 season . There he terminated his contract in February 2020.

Career

Kostyrev began his professional career in 2002 with the Kassel Huskies . There he could not achieve a scorer point in 26 games , so that after another season in Kassel he switched to league rivals Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg , with whom he was relegated from the German Ice Hockey League to the 2nd Bundesliga in the first year . In summer 2006 the striker signed a contract with EV Duisburg . With 13 points in 55 DEL games, the 2007/08 season was the most successful of the Russian-born career so far.

On December 18, 2008, those responsible at Füchse Duisburg announced that they had terminated the contractual relationship with Kostyrev. Füchse trainer Didi Hegen finally told journalists that Kostyrev was no longer satisfied with his situation and complained about too few ice ages. Artjom Kostyrev then moved to the 2nd Bundesliga to the EVR Tower Stars , for which he played until May 2010. In the summer of 2010 he took part in the training camp of the Dresden Ice Lions , but was unable to participate in the test matches due to injury problems and was therefore not given a contract.
