As Tall as Lions was an American rock band .
history
The band was founded in 2002 on Long Island / New York by Daniel Nigro ( vocals , guitar , piano ), Saen Fitzgerald (guitar) and Glifford Sarcona ( drums ).
After the release of the EP Blood and Aphorisms , the band signed a contract with the American indie label Triple Crown Records and released their LP Lafcadio in spring 2004. Shortly afterwards, Julio Tavarez, who is a good friend of the band members, joined the band as bassist .
In August 2006 the band released their first official studio album called As Tall as Lions . After that, the band was quiet for three years.
In 2009 her second album was released, called You Can't Take It with You . This album made it to # 88 on the US Top 100 chart and # 36 on the US rock chart on Billboard .
In September 2010 the band announced to split up. Nigro joined a music project called Blocks . The other three musicians continue to play together. They founded the Kilimanjaro side project .
