The Asenbauergraben is a brook in the 23rd Viennese district of Liesing . It is a feeder of the Lindgrabenbach .

The Asenbauergraben has a length of 526 m in its aboveground course with a height difference of 40 m. Its catchment area is 0.2 km².

The stream flows in a west-east direction through the district wall . It rises in the vineyards on the Kadoltsberg and runs along Franz-Asenbauer-Gasse in a paved, trapezoidal profile. Shortly before Heudörfelgasse, the Asenbauergraben becomes a brook canal , which flows underground into the Lindgrabenbach .

At Asenbauergraben there is a very high risk of flooding. In the event of a flood of the century , the infrastructure and the resident population are affected to a lesser extent.

history

Franz Asenbauer (1853-1946) was a brick and slate master who worked in Mauer as a local school council and member of the district road committee.
