Asnæs is a Danish town in the north of the island of Zealand .

The place is in the municipality of Odsherred and has 3018 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). It belongs to the parish Asnæs Sogn .

Facilities

Asnæs has a swimming pool and Asnæs Centret shopping center with more than 35 shops. The place is also the location of the Odsherreds Art Museum , the Fire Brigade Museum Odsherred Brandmuseum and an exhibition house. The Odsherred Zoo is located north of the village . The Church of Asnæs , with the rock carvings at the Asnæs Kirke , dates from the period around the 1150th

There is a train station of the Odsherredsbanen railway company in the village .

Personalities

The architect Feodor Asmussen (1887–1961) and the soccer player Christian Poulsen (* 1980) were born in Asnæs.
