Havnebyen is a Danish village in the northwest of the island of Zealand .

The place is in the municipality of Odsherred on the north side of the narrow peninsula Sjællands Odde . The village has 622 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) and is the largest place on the peninsula. It belongs to the parish of Odden Sogn . There is a bypass to the south of the village so that through traffic is not routed through the center of the village. To the west of the village, towards the tip of the peninsula, lies the village of Yderby and the ferry port Odden . To the south-east is Overby , where the area's church is located with the Odden Kirke .

The name of the place means port city and refers to the Odden port existing here . The port was created as a permanent port in 1908. The place Havnebyen in its present form was not created until it was built. The Odden harbor is mainly used by fishing and maritime leisure traffic. In the harbor there is not only a restaurant but also a fish smokehouse, the company building of which was designed by Arne Jacobsen . The anchor of the ship Prinz Christian, which was sunk by the British in 1808, is located in the harbor area .

There is also a shopping center and a gas station in the village. The environment of the place is characterized by tourism, especially in the summer season. There is a simple campsite on the east side of the village.
