Asphalt 9: Legends is a racing game released in 2018 . The game was developed by Gameloft Barcelona and published by Gameloft . It is the ninth main part of the Asphalt series . It was released on July 26, 2018 for Windows 10 , Android and iOS . On October 8, 2019, the game was activated for the Nintendo Switch in the Nintendo eShop , but it could already be downloaded in full.
Gameplay
The gameplay of Asphalt 9 is similar to that of Asphalt 8: Airborne , but big differences can be seen in the graphics and design. The player can collect 94 cars. As in the previous games, the cars are divided into five categories (D, C, B, A and S).
After Asphalt 6: Adrenaline and Asphalt 7: Heat , the nitro shock wave is included again for the first time.
The game also features a career and multiplayer mode again. The career mode is divided into five sections. Each section contains different races. In multiplayer mode you play against other people and the ranking system is divided into bronze, silver, gold, platinum and legend.
In addition to the classic racing mode, Asphalt 9 also includes the "Time Attack" mode, in which the vehicle has to reach the finish line before the time runs out. The mode "Hunted" is also included, in which one delivers a chase with the police.
The game re-includes racetracks from older games like San Francisco and Shanghai . There are also some new ones like Rome , Cairo , the Caribbean and the Himalayas .

Asphalt 9: Legends , like its predecessors, Asphalt 6: Adrenaline and Asphalt 8: Airborne, was developed by Gameloft Barcelona. The game uses the bullet physics engine and the jet engine as the game engine .
history
The first rumors about Asphalt 9: Legends date back to 2016, when Gameloft posted a picture on Twitter , which Gameloft Barcelona showed when creating a new map that was not included in Asphalt 8 . According to Gameloft, Asphalt 9 should be released in the summer of 2017, then under the name Asphalt 9: Shockwave .
The game was initially released for iOS as a soft launch for the Philippines on February 26, 2018 and March 22 for Thailand . On May 17, 2018, it was also released for Android in the Philippines .
Pre-registration for Asphalt 9 began on June 29, 2018.
On July 24, 2018, Gameloft announced in a livestream that Asphalt 9 will be released worldwide on July 26, 2018.
One week after the release on the Nintendo Switch (see info box), the game has already been downloaded over a million times.
