After several successes at Austrian school championships and other youth competitions, Geisler started in the European Cup from the 1983/84 season . This winter you have already achieved two podium places on the slopes from Spital am Semmering and Valzoldana . In the next winter, the great Austrian young hope was able to impressively demonstrate its potential in the downhill several times. In the 1984/85 European Cup season , the then 16-year-old won both downhill runs in Valzoldana and came second in each of the two downhill runs from Stoos , which means she was able to win the downhill classification and place eighth in the overall European Cup. In addition, she won the gold medal in the downhill at the Junior World Championships in Jasná in 1985 and was Austrian champion in this discipline.

After her performances in the previous year, Geisler was a member of the Austrian national team from the 1985/86 season. Her first World Cup race was the descent from Val-d'Isère on December 12, 1985, which she finished in 21st place. In the further course of the season she was mainly used in the European Cup, where she won two downhill runs, a Super-G and a combination. In February 1986 she came second in the Austrian championships in the downhill and at the Junior World Championships in Bad Kleinkirchheim , she also came in second behind the American Hilary Lindh in the downhill and fifth in the giant slalom. At the beginning of March, her still young career suffered a serious setback when she fell in the European Cup giant slalom in St. Sebastian . Geisler suffered a threefold torn ligament in his left knee as well as injuries to the meniscus and capsule. Despite the premature end of the season, she reached third place in the overall and downhill rankings in the 1985/86 European Cup and the discipline victory in the first-ever Super-G. After a long injury break, she was able to achieve third place in the European Cup downhill classification in the winter of 1987/88 , but in the end she had to retire from top-class sport for health reasons.
