Astrid Hennies (politician)

Astrid Hennies (born March 15, 1968 in Hanover ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life

After attending school, Astrid Hennies completed an apprenticeship as an administrative clerk in Ronnenberg from 1984 to 1987 . She then worked in the Ronnenberg city administration until 1990. Since 1990 she has been working as an administrative clerk in the BAföG office of the Hamburg Student Union , where she is a member of the staff council.

Hennies is a member of ver.di and the Arbeiterwohlfahrt and belongs to the Oldenfelde Citizens 'Association, the Milchkanne Social Work Association in the Oldenfelde Citizens' Association, the Bürgerhaus Cultural Center Association in Meiendorf and the Rahlstedt District Center Association. She lives in Hamburg-Rahlstedt .

Hennies joined the SPD in 2010 and became deputy district chairwoman of the SPD-Oldenfelde in 2012. From 2012 to 2015 she was a deputy of the Ministry of the Interior and Sport and from 2011 to 2015 she was an elected citizen in the Rahlstedt regional committee and in the finance and culture committee of the Wandsbek district assembly. In the SPD Hamburg she is on the board of the working group for education and is a member of the social democratic community for local politics Hamburg.

She received a direct mandate in the constituency of Rahlstedt in the 2015 and 2020 citizenship elections . In the citizenship elected in 2015, she is a member of the Science and Equality Committee, the School Committee and the Submissions Committee.

In the mayoral election in Hüfingen (Baden-Württemberg) she achieved second place in the second ballot on July 10, 2016 with 47.1% of the votes; Michael Kollmeier (CDU) was elected with 52.5%. In Ihringen she was defeated in the mayoral election on October 22, 2017 with 26.1% of the vote to the non-party Benedikt Eckerle, who was elected in the first ballot with 58.8%.
