Astros ( Greek Άστρος ( n. Sg. )) Is a small town in Arcadia in the Peloponnese in Greece . Together with five small surrounding settlements it forms an urban district of the municipality Voria Kynouria , whose seat it also forms. Astros lies in the fertile plain of the Tanos .
The former fishing village Paralio Astros is about 5 km east of the sea . Today it is a popular seaside resort.
The second Greek National Assembly met in Astros in 1823 .
The Moni Loukous monastery, built in the 12th century, is 4 km from Astros, in the direction of Tripoli .
