Athanasios Noutsos (born March 6, 1985 in Euskirchen ) is a German soccer player with Greek roots.
career
Born in Euskirchen , he played for the local TSC Euskirchen in his childhood and later for the Bundesliga youth teams of 1. FC Köln and Bayer 04 Leverkusen . The 1.75 m tall offensive midfielder began his career in 2004/05 in the then third-class Regionalliga Nord at KFC Uerdingen 05 . Further positions at Preußen Münster , KSV Hessen Kassel and VfB Lübeck followed . In January 2008 he ventured into the Greek second division to Kallithea FC , where he spent the following year and a half. For the 2009/10 season he moved to Veria FC , with whom he rose to the second division. He then played in Cyprus for Digenis Akritas Morphou and again in Greece for AO Platanias . In 2012 Noutsos returned to Germany. From then on he played at amateur level in the Oberliga Südwest for the clubs FC 08 Homburg , SVN Zweibrücken , Borussia Neunkirchen and SV Röchling Völklingen . With the SVN Zweibrücken he was upper division champion 2012/13 and rose to the Regionalliga Südwest. In 2017/18 he played for the relegated regional league Eintracht Trier , after which he went back to NRW in his homeland on the Middle Rhine .
