history

Atomic was founded in 1997 in the Bavarian Forest by the brothers Thomas and Rainer Marschel. The name is reminiscent of the scene club Atomic Café in Munich. This is followed by the nomination for the 2000 Culture Promotion Prize of the Upper Palatinate district and the nomination for the German Rock & Pop Prize in Bonn, where they were among the top 100. In August 2001 they were nominated again for the Rock & Pop Prize in Würzburg for the song Shadow Dancer .
