Reviews

Attack the Gas Station is certainly a film that is primarily aimed at the entertainment of the audience. The constant humorous interludes, often quite slapstick and with slapstick elements, the shrill characters, the sometimes unconventional tracking shots, the rocking soundtrack, all of this leads to the fact that you see a fun film that also wonderfully achieves what it aims at: The Spectator has unlimited fun. In addition, Kim Sang-Jin addresses the problems in his country. Corruption and helplessness among the authorities, superficiality and lack of prospects for young people, violence in schools, etc. These topics are certainly not in the foreground, but they are repeatedly interspersed and, despite the often increasing grotesque, commented critically.
