Atte Mäkinen (born May 17, 1995 in Tampere ) is a Finnish ice hockey player who is under contract with Rauman Lukko in the Liiga .

Career

Atte Mäkinen comes from the offspring of Tappara Tampere and won the Finnish runner-up in his age group with their U16 team in 2011 (Junior-C SM-sarja).

On February 21, 2012, after an accumulation of injuries in the professional squad at the age of 16 against Jokerit, he made his debut in the SM-liiga and completed two more games for his home club by the end of the season. In the following season he was used with the U20 juniors by Tappara and loaned to LeKi from Mestis for a few games . At the European Trophy 2013 he was a permanent member of the Tappare squad and played seven games for the club, but did not make it into the regular squad for the SM-liiga season that began afterwards . Therefore he was loaned to LeKi again.

International

Mäkinen began to represent his home country internationally early in his career. He was the captain of the U18 team at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament 2012 and won the silver medal. He had other assignments at the U18 Junior World Championships in 2012 and 2013 , where he won the bronze medal as assistant captain in 2013. In the U20 age group he took part in the 2015 World Cup.
