Auburn University at Montgomery

The Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) is a state university in Montgomery in the US state of Alabama . The number of students is given as around 5200.

history

The AUM was originally a branch of the University of Alabama , which has offered classes since 1936. In the mid-1960s, they wanted to convert this branch into their own university. However, since this met resistance from the University of Alabama, Auburn University eventually bought the site and officially founded Auburn University at Montgomery in 1967.

Sports

Alabama State University's sports teams are the Warhawks .
