On the Hufen is a farm in the Bergisch city of Wuppertal .
Location and description
The Hofschaft is located in the northwest of the city at 238 m above sea level. NHN in the northeast of the Eckbusch residential area in the Uellendahl-Katernberg district near the city limits of Velbert.
Neighboring residential areas and localities are Römersleimberg , Oberste Leimberg , Unterste Leimberg , Schultenleimberg , Am Lindgen , Hugenbruch , Alter Triebel , Triebel and Grenz Jagdhaus .
history
The place is marked on the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 as n. Hof and on the Prussian first survey from 1843 as Hufen . In the course of the 20th century, the place was named Hufe , Hufen or Auf dem Hufen on measuring table sheets .
In the 19th century, Auf dem Hufen belonged to the Kleine Höhe farmers' group of the Hardenberg mayor , which was renamed Neviges in 1935 . From 1816 to 1861 it belonged to the Elberfeld district and from 1861 to the old Mettmann district .
In 1888 twelve people lived in one house in Auf dem Hufen. At that time the place was called Hufe .
Due to the regional reform of North Rhine-Westphalia , Neviges came to the city of Velbert at the beginning of 1975 and the eastern suburbs of Neviges to Auf dem Hufen were incorporated into Wuppertal.
