The Augronne is a river in France that runs through the Grand Est and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté regions. It rises south of the Col de la Demoiselle from the lake Étang du Renard , in the municipality of Remiremont , drains in a generally south-westerly direction through the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park and reaches the Sémouse valley at Aillevillers-et-Lyaumont . However, it continues to run parallel to the river over a length of about eight kilometers at a short distance, is already connected to it via a large number of water arms, but only flows as a left tributary after a total of 29 kilometers at Saint-Loup-sur-Semouse in the Sémouse. On its way, the Augronne crosses the Vosges and Haute-Saône departments .
