August Friedrich Rapp (* 22. December 1807 ; † 15. February 1874 in Tübingen ) was from 1857 to 1874 in Tübingen town mayor (mayor).

He was chairman of the association for the construction of the Ludwig-Uhland-Monument in Tübingen and he succeeded in completing the construction of the monument according to the design by Gustav Adolph Kietz in 1873. In readings of Uhland's poetry, he advocated a representation that, in addition to expression, concentrated strongly on speech rhythm and melody.

The Tübingen Rappstrasse , which connects Schleifmühleweg with Herrenberger Strasse in the west of the city, is named after him .
