August Hoffmann (businessman)

August Hoffmann (born June 18, 1802 in Jonsdorf , † April 16, 1878 in Seifhennersdorf ) was a German merchant , freight forwarder and member of the Frankfurt National Assembly .

Life

August Hoffmann worked as a forwarding agent and businessman in Seifhennersdorf (Saxony). Politically, he was involved in the local council, Protestant church council and as a justice of the peace .

From September 11, 1848 to December 16, 1848 he was a member of the Paulskirchenparliament. He was the successor to Adolf Ernst Hensel and the predecessor of Heinrich Julius Kämmel . He first joined the Deutscher Hof faction , then the March Association . His constituency was the Kingdom of Saxony (1st, Zittau ) .
