August Schreiber (District Administrator)

August Friedrich Wilhelm Schreiber (born May 13, 1797 in Arolsen ; † November 1, 1869 in Niederwildungen ) was a German forest official and district administrator .

Life

August Schreiber was the son of Waldeck 's chamber councilor Philipp Schreiber and his wife Auguste Dorothea Wilhelmine nee Brumhard. After attending the Old State School in Korbach , he enrolled on November 1, 1814 to study forest sciences at the University of Göttingen , which he graduated in 1815. In 1817 he became an accessist at the domain chamber. During his student days he became a member of the Corps Hannovera Göttingen . From 1822 to 1826 he was secretary of the forestry chamber in Arolsen . In 1826 he became the prime minister and top renterei officials in Pyrmont appointed. In 1849, the Principality of Waldeck, previously administered in personal union, and the County of Pyrmont were merged to form the Principality of Waldeck-Pyrmont. From 1850 he was district administrator (d. I. District administrator) of the newly formed district of Eder with its seat in Niederwildungen. As a district councilor, in 1859 he was the founder of the Kreissparkasse of the district of Eder, today Sparkasse Waldeck-Frankenberg . In 1860 he was retired due to illness.

From 1849 to 1851 he was a member of the state parliament of the Principality of Waldeck-Pyrmont . He was in the XIII. Elected constituency. In 1851 he was a member of the special state parliament for the Principality of Pyrmont .

Schreiber's first marriage from 1822 to Friederike, daughter of the mountain councilor Johann Christian Stoecker, and his second marriage from 1835 to Pauline, daughter of the landowner Theodor Henrici zu Küterbrok. The two marriages gave birth to a total of nine children.
