August Senz
August Senz (born June 16, 1862 in Berlin ; † March 2, 1912 or 1913 in Cologne ; full name: Daniel Eduard August Senz ) was a German architect of historicism who stood out primarily in the field of Protestant sacred buildings.
After studying architecture and a subsequent legal clerkship, Senz passed the second state examination and was then appointed government master builder ( assessor in the public building administration). He became head of the building department of the Evangelical Church of the Rhine Province and in this role built numerous Protestant churches in the western Ruhr area , in the Rhineland and in the Principality of Birkenfeld .
