Auguste Formes (born November 30, 1831 in Mainz as Johanna Antonie Auguste Arens , † April 14, 1888 in Dresden ) was a royal Prussian court actress and soubrette .

Life

The actress, born as Johanna Antonie Auguste Arens, made her debut in 1847 at the Hamburg Thalia Theater and subsequently worked in Gdansk, Leipzig and Königsberg. From 1852 she was engaged at the Königliches Schauspielhaus in Berlin and especially celebrated success in the role of the sentimental and tragic lover.

In 1854 she married the star tenor of the Berlin court opera Theodor Formes , a member of the well-known singer and actor family Formes . She ended her career in October 1862. In 1866 she married the Imperial Russian Colonel Wilhelm von Weymarn , who came from a German-Baltic family .

Auguste von Weymarn was buried in the Inner Neustädter Friedhof in Dresden in the family funeral of relatives of her husband, the von Armstrong family .
