Augustin-Joseph, comte de Mailly , marquis d'Haucourt , (born April 5, 1708 in Villaines-sous-Lucé , Département Sarthe ; † guillotined March 25, 1794 in Arras , Département Pas-de-Calais ) was a French general and Marshal of France 1783.

Augustin-Joseph de Mailly came from one of the oldest families of the French nobility, his father was Joseph de Mailly (1677–1755) and his mother Louise-Madeleine de la Rivière. At the age of 18 he began his military career with the musketeers in 1726 . From 1733 to 1764 he served in the Compagnie des gendarmes de la Reine for Queen Maria Lesczcynska .

On April 20, 1734, de Mially married Constance Colbert de Torcy (1710-1734), a niece of the politician Jean-Baptiste Colbert, marquis de Torcy and had three daughters with her.

On February 26, 1737 he married Michelle de Siricourt († 1778) and had a son with her.

De Mailly's career took him from Capitaine (March 18, 1728) to Maréchal de camp (August 18, 1745). In 1749 he was appointed Inspector General of the Cavalry and Dragoons. He was governor of Abbeville and Sénéchal and Grand bailli of Ponthieu .

The third marriage was de Mailly on April 6, 1780, with Marie Blanche de Narbonne-Pelet (1763-1840) and had a son with her.

In 1791 he was appointed commander of the 14th and 15th divisions. During the reign of terror of the Revolution , de Mailly fell from grace and was guillontined at Arras on March 25, 1794 .
