Augustine Obiora Akubeze (born August 25, 1956 in Kaduna ) is Archbishop of Benin City .
Life
Augustine Obiora Akubeze was ordained a priest on October 3, 1987 . Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Uromi on December 14, 2005 .
The Archbishop of Lagos , Anthony Olubunmi Cardinal Okogie , ordained him episcopal on February 25 of the next year; Co- consecrators were Patrick Ebosele Ekpu , Archbishop of Benin City, and Renzo Fratini , Apostolic Nuncio in Nigeria .
He was named Archbishop of Benin City on March 18, 2011, and was installed in office on April 28 of the same year.
