Architecture and history

Replacement building Augustinern 3 and 4, 2012

The three-storey half - timbered house was built around 1780. The simple structure was redesigned in the second half of the 19th century. The facade was plastered. The front door also came from this time.

As a result of negligent arson, the building burned down on the evening of June 21, 2010. Bulky rubbish standing in front of Haus Augustinern 3 caught fire. The fire spread to the facade of house number 3 and also affected the facade of Augustinians 4. The fire then also spread to the interior of the building. The roof and a window of the Augustinern 2 building and the eaves of Augustinern 5 were also recorded. Houses 3 and 4 could not be saved from destruction by the fire brigade, which was on site with 75 firefighters. Today there is a replacement building at this point, which includes the plots Augustinern 3 (which was also destroyed in this fire) and 4.
