Architecture and history
The house was built around 1770 in half-timbered construction . It is the only early classicism building on the street. It shows elements of the transition to classicism. Particularly striking is the large dormer . In 2007 the building was renovated by the qbatur architects' office . On the evening of June 21, 2010 the house suffered considerable fire damage, which destroyed the neighboring houses Augustinern 3 and 4, so that renewed renovation had to be carried out. The fire had spread to the building from the bulky waste in front of the Augustinern 3 building and also reached the roof area of Augustinern 5. The entire roof structure exploded suddenly, so that the fire brigade, with a total of 75 firefighters, gave up the house and focused on preventing it from reaching over focused on Augustinians 6.
