The Lower Bavarian Friedrichsberg is 930 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the southern Bavarian Forest between the villages of Breitenberg and Wegscheid in the Passau district not far from the border with Upper Austria .
A lookout tower has stood on its summit for a number of years , allowing a comprehensive panorama in all directions; on clear days with the influence of the foehn, the view extends as far as the Alpine chain from the Dead Mountains to the Kaiser Mountains . The Friedrichsberg can be climbed from the surrounding villages and hamlets in a short time via several hiking trails.
