He played his first game for the Detroit Tigers on April 5, 2010. On July 31, 2014, he was swapped by the Tigers for the Seattle Mariners . His defense position is that of the outfielders ( centerfield ). His jersey number for the Tigers was number 14. He is currently number 16.
