Autorail à grande capacity

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The AutoRail à Grande Capacité short AGC ( German : "railcars with large capacity" ), is a multiple unit provided by Bombardier in Crespin for SNCF was built. These railcars are available as diesel, electric and dual-power variants.

700 of these new railcars (first commissioned in 2004) were ordered by the SNCF on behalf of the regions . The modularity of the AGC allows each region to have a say in the structure of the units, including the number of cars and how the interior is designed.

After Bombardier and the Romanian company remarul 16 februarie have signed an agreement in November 2010, the AGC under license in is Cluj , in Romania to be built for him in the future the railway company in Romania, Bulgaria , Greece , Croatia , Bosnia and Serbia offer .

AGC series

There are different series of the AGC:

  • the X 76500 : diesel version, these trains are also known as XGC .
  • the Z 27500 : electrical version for the power systems 1500 V DC and 25 kV, 50 Hz AC voltage , these trains are also called ZGC .
  • the B 81500 : two-force variant , diesel version and electric version for 1500 V DC voltage, these trains are also called BGC .
  • The B 82500 : two-force variant like B 81500, but with additional applicability below 25 kV, 50 Hz alternating voltage, are also called BBGC or BiBi .

Currently, it is only permissible for the BGC 82500 from TER Champagne-Ardenne, which operate on the Paris – Troyes – Culmont-Chalindrey route and for the Transilien units that operate in the Paris area, to switch between catenary and diesel operation while driving. However, this should apply to all two-engine versions in the near future, and the train drivers have to be trained for this.

General information

The AGC are articulated railcars with Jakobs bogies . It is possible to couple up to three units and control them multiple times, for this the ends are equipped with Scharfenberg couplings with contact attachments. The maximum speed is 160 km / h. The regions of Basse-Normandie and Lorraine have procured AGCs, which make it possible to couple XGC and ZGC. Otherwise this is not possible.

particularities

The Rhône-Alpes region uses AGC in international traffic, the Z 27500 connect Lyon with Geneva and since September 6, 2009 the B 82500 connect Valence - Grenoble - Chambéry with Geneva. These trains run on Swiss territory from La Plaine to Geneva. 21 regions have given the AGC a special exterior design.

Orders

The first train B 81501/81502 was delivered to the Midi-Pyrénées region and is stationed at the Toulouse depot . At the end of 2006 around 200 of 700 units had been delivered. On January 14, 2008, 314 trains were delivered to various regions, including the first BiBi ( B 82500 ) to the following regions:

In 2009 the BiBi ( B 82500 ) were delivered to the following regions:

At the end of April 2008, a total of 350 units had been delivered. On February 12, 2009, 463 were in use. On September 18, 2009, 539 were delivered. On June 15, 2011, the seven hundredth and thus the last railcar unit was delivered to the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region.
