The Z 27500 , also called ZGC , is the electric version of the autorail à grande capacité (AGC).
description
In 2002, Bombardier won the tender for a new generation of multiple units, the autorail à grande capacité, which replaced the previous locomotive-hauled TER . This series of multiple units is the largest single order in the history of the SNCF . Only the new Alstom Coradia Polyvalent and Bombardier Régio2N trains will be ordered in large numbers (delivery from 2013). The Autorail à grande capacité is also available in three other versions: X 76500 diesel version (XGC), B 81500 hybrid version (diesel and 1500 V) (BGC) and B 82500 hybrid version (diesel, 1500 V and 25 kV 50 Hz) (BBGC / BiBi).
The Z 27500 is available as a three-part and four-part train. 108 four-car and 103 three-car trains are in use at the SNCF.
