Avery is a small town in Red River County in the US state of Texas , United States .

The city is located almost in the extreme northeast of Texas, is in the northeast about 10 km from Arkansas, in the southeast about 25 km from Louisiana and in the northwest also about 25 km from Oklahoma . It has an area of 2.5 km² of which 0.1 km².
