Awanhard ( Ukrainian Авангард ; Russian Авангард Awangard ) is a settlement in the west of the Ukrainian Oblast Dnipropetrovsk with about 1500 inhabitants (2001).
The settlement is located in the middle of the Kryvyi Rih district , but administratively belongs to the urban district of the city of Kryvyi Rih .
The village is located near the left bank of the Inhulez dammed up to the Karachunivka reservoir , 2 km downstream from the village of Losuwatka , 17 km northwest of the city center of Kryvyi Rih and 160 km southwest of the Dnipro oblast center .
Through the village extending highway N 23 and the railway line from Pjatychatky according Dolynska .
