Axel Bouteille (born April 14, 1995 in Roanne ) is a French basketball player .

career

At the age of 15, Bouteille, whose parents also played basketball, moved from Hyères-Toulon Var Basket to the junior division of the first division club Élan Sportif Chalonnais . At that time he was 1.88 meters. In the 2013/14 season he made his debut in the French premier league, and in 2017 he won the French championship title with Chalon. He contributed 8.4 points per encounter to this success. In the run-up to the 2017/18 season, he moved to Limoges CSP in France,  where he further increased his statistical values: in 2018/19 Bouteille scored 11.3 points per game.

During the summer break of 2019, he decided to move abroad and accepted an offer from the Spanish first division club CB Bilbao Berri . He hit the ground running in Spain and, according to the media, attracted Real Madrid's interest in his first year in the ACB league . At the end of February 2020, he moved to Unicaja Málaga within the ACB League .
